To lock up my wealth
Hysterectomy
Preserving my health
Light me afire
On a funeral pyre
Some of the ways
You have kept me enslaved
Women of any nation
Subject to abomination
Veiled faces
Going places
Under wraps
Afraid of attack
No looking back
To turn into a pillar of salt
It is woman’s fault
For the sin in the world
So we are told
So says the Word
The Garden of Eden
A haven for heathen
Because of Eve
If we believe
I came from man’s rib
Or is it a fib
Another tall tale
To promote the male?
Father, son and holy ghost
No Mother to toast –
The way of most
Religious movements
No improvement
On the state of
Man towards
Woman.
Time for a change.
